Dr Max L. Wilson

max_wilsonMax Wilson is an Associate Professor of Human-Computer Interaction in the School of Computer Science. Max leads a team using functional Near Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS) and machine learning to evaluate user performance and the design of digital technologies. His team, funded by EPSRC and Google, measure Mental Workload in increasingly real-world portable contexts, and design visualisations to help people reflect upon cognitive data. Max has over 100 publications focused on Interaction with Information Systems, is Associate Editor for the International Journal of Human-Computer Studies, and is on the ACM SIGCHI committee.
